Customized neon lights are a great way to make your place unique, but let’s talk about how you can get them exactly the way you want them.

Dry Neon vs Wet Neon

You can use either neon or neon lamps, but you need to choose the type that is right for your project. If you are using standard neon tubing, it will have to be cleaned and polished, which can take a bit of time in the making. If you’re working with high-voltage tubes, you have to use wet neon. These high voltage lights come with a special coating on them so they are ready to go right out of the package. The only thing you need to do is get rid of any dust or fingerprints so these lights will work properly.

Quick Tips For Customized Neon Lights :

1. Use the proper transformer

If you are going to transform your normal 120 volt lights into high voltage neon signs, you need to look for a special transformer that is designed just for this purpose. Just take a look at the lights and you should be able to tell if they are powered by 120 volts or higher. 

If they use 120 volts, then the transformers are easy enough to find. If they are over 120 volts, you need to make sure you get the proper transformers and use them with wet neon lights rather than standard dry ones. This will keep everything safe as well as reduce any chance of fire or burns from touching these lights directly with your hands.

2. Use a good power supply

If you are going to be using custom neon signs with higher voltage transformers, then you need a good power supply to plug into the wall so that your neon lights stay lit. Finding these is easy enough if you just follow the instructions for your transformer and use the proper power supply for it. Make sure that everything else, like the transformer and all wires, is in good working order before you begin using the system, especially if this is anything other than lighting up a set of standard lights rather than some sort of customized display.

3. Use the right size tubes
